As I said, the process can't be replicated TODAY.  

This is like debating how many angels are on the head of a pin!  Where,
TODAY, are huge ice caps forming, and failing to melt, and cumulating,
on one place at a lattitude, where elsewhere on that same latitude all
is balmy?  Except on the poles, we have melting, not cumulating,
glaciers.
