QuickBooks is designed for the normal business which purchases from "Vendors", who "bill or invoice" the business; and which sells or provides a service to "Customers", who "pay" the business.
As a Non-Profit Corporation, Troubled Times, Inc. operates a little differently, with Contributors who donate money to TT Inc. and Members who receive money from TT Inc. for various purposes.
As QuickBooks provides many special bookkeeping capabilities relating to "Vendors" and "Customers", the TT Inc. Books utilize these terms as follows:
Anyone who sends TT Inc. a "bill" in the form of a Voucher or "Purchase Order", or in the case of an email for reimbursement of postage from the Seed Team, or a business from which TT Inc. purchases directly, is called a Vendor.
Anyone who sends money to TT Inc. as a Donation, or Refund, Rebate, or the like, is called a Customer.
