There are 4 portions to the loaned land gardens. The largest (below) is devoted to Ichi's seed plants, pumpkin and mellon, and Sunflower. Just to the west on this portion (next below) are Tioga and Buckwheat. The second largest portion (last below) is devoted to hulless oats, beets, amaranth, and several types of beans. In a climate where the planting season is May 15th, the gardens are doing well at end of May. This land has not been tilled for years, if ever, and was covered by junk and fence which had to be laboriously removed by the Headquarters Seed TEAM members. The new Troy Bilt tiller was used to prepare these garden plots.
